Information on the course
Contents of the course
Two laboratory works using Raman spectroscopy and time-resolved single-photon counting. Measurements are carried out in small groups in the research laboratories. Written independent report on both lab works.
Learning outcomes
Student learns principles of current research topics in optical spectroscopy and familiarizes him/herself with the experimental setup and measurement techniques. The student understands deeply the theory behind the measurements and is able to analyze the results and to connect them to the relevant scientific findings in a comprehensive written report.
Prerequisites
KEMA221, KEMA222, KEMA230 (Bachelor level physical chemistry lecture courses and lab works) or equivalent studies.
