Collections at the department of music

AV-material, sheet music and most of Finnish music literature are in the depository collection (Fennica), which is only available for consultation in the reading rooms.
Older books and journals for home loan (P Mus var, P Kasv 5 var, P Aik X var) and items in the depository collection may be requested from closed stacks.
Databases
- JYKDOK, our own online catalogue, lists music books, journals, databases and master's theses completed at the University of Jyväskylä.
- Melinda is the union catalogue of Finnish university libraries. Use Melinda to search for books and journals you cannot find in JYKDOK. Melinda includes the collections of Sibelius Academy. You may order items listed in Melinda as an interlibrary loan.
- JaNet is the online catalogue of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences. The library at Finnish Music Campus is a part of the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences library.
- ARTO can be used to search for Finnish articles on music.

E-resources
Electronic resources available in the University of Jyväskylä can be accessed through JYKDOK. The electronic resources include Finnish and international databases, electronic books and journals, reference works and dictionaries from numerous fields of science. - RILM Abstracts of Music Literature: international database of music literature, with their own classification.

- E-book collections like e.g. Ebook Central, Ebsco eBook Collection and Dawsonera can be browsed and searched for e-book titles in music.
