Koppa Quickstart Guide
What is Koppa
Koppa is a portal for delivering course material, such as course pages, slides, text or images.
- Material may be public or only accessible to students and teachers on a certain course.
- Koppa works together with Korppi study data system to handle viewing permissions.
- Course material may be added and edited by teachers, using only web browser, anytime, anywhere.
- Koppa works on Plone content management system, which is widely used as the main platform for the university web pages.
Logging in to Koppa
Log in to Koppa using the same user id and password as you use in Korppi. After logging in you can change the language in English from the blue toolbar (if you ended up in the Finnish speaking site). Click My Page to access the courses that you've registered for in Korppi.

Change the language used in Koppa by clicking the link on the top right corner.
Course Folders
Course folders are the place for course material. You may access the course folders through My page, or search, or with a direct link to the course or through this list: https://koppa.jyu.fi/en/courses/.
Course folders contain also the Exams and returning assignments.
Returning an Assignment
Returning Assignments or Remote Exam answers is simple.
- Log in to Koppa
- Go to the course folder
- Click Return assignments-button
- Upoad the assignment as a file (.pdf, .rtf, .docx)

Remote Exams
Remote Exams are just like returning assignments, but students have only a limited time to return the assignment.

Question: For some reason I cannot see or access the material at Koppa
Answer: Please log out from Koppa, wait a few moments and then log back in. Repeat if necessary. If that does not work, make sure you are enrolled to the course at Korppi and also make sure you have enrolled to the Remote exam -group and other necessary groups too.
