The next stage in the process of systematic information seeking is learning about the publication culture in your field, and choosing scholarly and reliable sources according to the publication culture. After you learn what kind of sources you are looking for, you can move on to the actual searching. Your search terms will probably need to be adjusted and revised as you go along. Improving your search results by revising your search terms is an essential skill but there are also other things you can do to refine your search results.
