Theses and dissertations
Theses and dissertations are useful when you are defining your topic. Note that theses should not be used as actual sources since a univerisity thesis is a learning project and seldom at sufficient scholarly level to be used as a source.
Theses and dissertations are good for background information, as they often contain a literature review and /or a summary of the research tradition of the particular topic. Hence, take a look at their bibliography!
New theses are usually openly accessible online. Older print theses are available in microfilms, or you can order them from storage or through interlibrary loan.
